Review Pralay_ the great deluge”by VINEET BAJAPAI is the second part of his previous book “HARAPPA”. This book totally blown me away,it’s a roller coaster ride for me,as it contains mystery, passion, destruction, rich history content, suspense, love. The plot open with the summary of previous book and as it catches up the pace it’s become more intersting. The story narrates how the Great VIVASAN PUJARI has turn into devil after hearing the demise of his belobed wife and son Manu and how the conspiracy of his people turn him to do the most siniest things by killing SAPTRISHI. On the other hand VIDYUT had get to know the many unfold truth from his great grandfather DWARKA SHASTRI and how to take his vengeance from TRIAJAT KAPAALIK for killing his friend BALA. The narration is extremely simple and one could imagine the scenes happens in front of your eyes. The way Vineet sir narrates the story it makes the readers engrossed in the story till end. The characterisation is so strong that no character is fall short of it. However the only thing is that the book is too long with some chapters which is not required. Starting with engrosing story, it’s lost it pace in between with the most of the time revealing past history chats betweem Dwarks shastri and Vidyut. By the end of the story, got to know there is one more part “KASHI- SECRET OF BLACK TEMPLE” which leave the readers hanging in between. The cover is quite good too but Harappa’s more better. Overall an interesting tale which is difficult to put down. If u love history genre go for both part .. u don’t regret. –By Aditya on 13 February 2018 Pralay-The Deluge sequel of Harappa-Curse Of The Blood River is written by Vineet Bajpai. Talking about the cover and title its no less then the previous one. We can see the scenes of pralay on the cover and the title is equally intriguing. The story starts with the rescuing of the fallen devta Vivasvan Pujari. Somehow they succeed in the process but only after the Surya of Harappa was no more shining but burning with wrath. On the other hand Manu is destined for something very different after he reaches his final destination that is the black temple. Many new characters are introduced in the book like the Matasya, Sura, Constantine, Trijat or the masaan-raja and many more which has certainly given some clarity about what all happened in the last book and now many secrets which were left untouched are out in this book, it’s gratifying to know the answers but still we await for the final secret, which will hopefully come in the next book. The author has beautifully weaved the story and each puzzle is falling into place. The arrival of Matasya the first avatar of Vishnu was the best part of all, it gave direction to the story. Then the mention of many social inequalities are quoted in the book like poverty, and ill treatment of people belonging to lower cast even though such things never existed in the sculptures and many other insane things. Many intense emotions like anger, avenging, hatred, lust, greed etc can make even a devta to loose his life time glory in couple of days has been described very clearly. On the other hand saving even a single soul for a single day can make you even greater. Loved the book totally. It is highly recommended. –By Prerna Singhon 15 February 2018 Review Media Quotes / Appreciation: ?Vineet Bajpai?India?s answer to Dan Brown?? ?
